For our media coursework, we have to create a music video;
The process of firstly choosing a song that everyone in my group could feel passionate about, and want to work on...was difficult.
In the end, the group was split into two,with the intentions of being two separate groups - but still working together in the production of both music videos.
The song that the group I am part of chose is 'Neutron Star Collision' by the British rock band 'Muse'.
The video for that particular song is in collaboration with the movie 'Eclipse' from the 'Twilight Saga' produced by 'Summit' production company. The video itself is mostly shots of the band perfroming in one location, with shots from the movie filling in the rest of the video. It is purely a promotional video for the movie, which is why I thought it would be a good idea to make a real music video for the song - with a real narrative to show an audience the theme of the song. Which I feel the orginal video doesn't do to people whom are not fans of the 'Twilight Saga' and would not know by watching the video what it's all about.
